Fuel Right Australia

ABOUT FUEL RIGHT AUSTRALIA

Fuel treatment.
Australian support.

We supply Fuel Right treatment products and practical technical guidance for Australian businesses. We help operators address sludge, deposits and corrosion risk across stored diesel and the systems it supplies.

Australian supply. Practical fuel-care guidance.

We are the Australian distributor of Fuel Right, bringing treatment chemistry and application guidance to businesses that depend on stored diesel, dependable refuelling and reliable equipment. We support asset owners, operating teams and fuel service contractors across retail networks, standby power, commercial marine, transport, agriculture, mining and public infrastructure.

Our role in your fuel-care programme

We help customers select the appropriate formulation, understand the dosing basis and plan treatment around the condition of their tanks and fuel systems. We provide access to product instructions, safety information and technical resources, then connect those documents with the practical questions that arise on site.

We consider storage history, actual fuel grade, volume, water findings, contamination and filtration activity before recommending an approach. This gives customers a clear basis for treatment and the maintenance actions that accompany it.

Our purpose

We make fuel care a planned part of operational maintenance. Our focus is to help customers manage contamination and corrosion risk before recurring deposits, filter restriction or uncertain stored-fuel condition interrupt an operating programme.

We combine product supply with clear application guidance, traceable dosing and practical monitoring. We judge a programme against the evidence available from the system: sample findings, tank observations, filter activity and operating records.

From product selection to an ongoing fuel-care programme

We focus on the decisions that make treatment practical: what is in the tank, which formulation applies, how it will be dosed and what needs to be monitored. Our support connects the product with the storage system and the equipment that depends on it.

Select treatment for the actual application

We match the formulation to the fuel grade, tank condition and treatment objective. We distinguish the functions of 30K, 15K and ProActive, so the decision reflects the system’s requirements as well as the product’s bulk-treatment ratio.

Define the dose and implementation plan

We help establish the correct product, fuel volume and dosing basis before treatment begins. We distinguish ongoing bulk treatment from an initial cleaning or shock-treatment programme and recommend adding treatment during refuelling where appropriate to support mixing.

Address sludge, deposits and corrosion risk

We supply chemistry designed to dissolve and disperse sludge, help prevent further formation and form a microscopic corrosion-protection film on metal surfaces. We connect those functions with a practical review of the tank, fuel path and equipment supplied.

Integrate water and filtration management

We assess accumulated water and sediment separately from treatment selection. We recommend closer filter monitoring during initial cleaning because released contamination can increase the material captured by filtration. Where accumulation requires it, we recommend physical removal and fuel polishing alongside treatment.

Support clear records and ongoing monitoring

We recommend keeping delivery volumes, product doses, water findings, sample results and filter changes together for each system. We use that operating evidence to help identify recurring problems and refine an ongoing fuel-care programme.

Provide accessible technical and safety guidance

We make product information sheets, Safety Data Sheets and technical resources available for informed selection and handling. We help customers apply the relevant instructions to their operating environment and treatment objective.

Our technology is built around sludge, fouling and corrosion

We supply Fuel Right technology whose origins lie in the work of founder Bob Tatnall, a materials engineer who spent 30 years with DuPont specialising in corrosion, linings and coatings. After retiring in 1991, he developed Fuel Right’s treatment approach and a laboratory jar-test method for evaluating sludge, fouling and corrosion in contaminated fuel systems.

We bring that technical foundation into Australian applications through formulation-specific product guidance. Our range combines sludge and deposit control with corrosion protection; lubricity and fuel-line freeze-protection functions depend on the formulation selected. We confirm those differences before recommending a treatment programme.

We provide the Fuel Right development history alongside our product information sheets. We use documented product functions and application-specific operating evidence to inform recommendations.

Supporting fuel-dependent operations across Australia

We adapt treatment guidance to the operating environment. Storage turnover, fuel grade, system condition and the consequences of an interruption all influence the programme.

Retail supply and premium programmes

We support treatment selection, dosing controls and clear product communication for service station storage, distribution and premium diesel programmes.

Our Fuel Right treatment range

We supply 30K, 15K and ProActive for defined treatment applications. We select the product against the fuel grade, system condition and required functions, then confirm the applicable instructions before dosing.

We recommend 30K for applicable bulk treatment programmes focused on sludge, deposits and corrosion protection. Our standard bulk ratio is 1:30,000; we confirm any fuel-grade-specific instructions before dosing.

We select 15K where its cleaning, corrosion-protection, lubricity and fuel-line freeze-protection functions suit the application. Our standard bulk ratio is 1:15,000; we confirm the operating conditions and treatment objective before application.

We recommend ProActive for applicable diesel systems where sludge control, corrosion protection and enhanced lubricity are required. Our standard bulk ratio is 1:10,000; we assess the system condition before selecting routine or shock treatment.

Experience from a rescue-vessel operator

Coastguard Taranaki rescue vessel, New Zealand

Coastguard Taranaki, New Zealand

We retain the following historical operator feedback from Coastguard Taranaki, describing its experience addressing contamination in a rescue vessel’s fuel filters with Fuel Right 15K.

“We have had no bug problems since regularly dosing the fuel with the Fuel Right.”

We provide the full account below, alongside guidance on water management and filter monitoring.

“Due to the weather and sea conditions our AMF 1170 Quick Response Vessel (QRV) is used in, we need to be absolutely confident we will have no issues with fuel contamination like diesel bug, or water in fuel. Definitely an unacceptable situation during a callout.

Whilst servicing the boat recently on the hard, we discovered a black gel like contamination in both fuel filters Because we have had previous experience with this, we sought out a long term solution we could rely on.

Through contact with some of the local marine mechanics, we came to Fuel Right. A unique highly concentrated fuel conditioning product from the USA. The Taranaki distributor suggested we double dose initially to break down the sludge contamination. We therefore dosed both tanks with Fuel Right FR 15k, and it worked!

This treatment successfully broke down the sludge plus the added benefit of pushing water out of the fuel (a requirement of engine manufacturers that water shouldn’t be in the fuel system).

After changing the filters we put the boat back into the sea and test ran it. We have had no bug problems since regularly dosing the fuel with the Fuel Right.”

We assess water and sediment separately and recommend physical removal where accumulation requires it. We plan filter monitoring as existing deposits are released during treatment.

About Fuel Right Australia: your questions answered

We are the Australian distributor of Fuel Right treatment products. We provide product supply, formulation selection, dosing guidance and access to technical and safety documentation for businesses managing stored diesel and fuel-dependent equipment.

We review the actual fuel grade, tank capacity, stored volume, system condition and treatment objective. We distinguish the functions and instructions for 30K, 15K and ProActive, then assess whether routine bulk treatment or a separate initial cleaning programme is appropriate.

We investigate water findings and recommend addressing the source of ingress. We assess physical removal where water or sediment has accumulated and recommend filter monitoring during initial cleaning. We combine those maintenance actions with appropriate treatment rather than relying on dosing alone.

We provide product information sheets for application and dosing guidance, Safety Data Sheets for handling requirements and technical resources for common storage and contamination issues. Contact us with your fuel grade, tank capacity, actual volume and contamination findings so we can discuss the appropriate approach.
