Water and microbial deposits can create fuel-system risks in aviation storage, distribution and handling. Microbiological testing is one element of an evidence-led fuel quality assurance programme. Conidia FUELSTAT Plus Aviation (FHR8-2) is the jet-fuel version of the manufacturer’s rapid on-site microbial contamination test, supplied as a box of eight test kits.
The antibody-based immunoassay is designed to identify specified microorganisms associated with fuel degradation. Conidia describes an approximate 15-minute test reading time following the required sample-preparation steps. It is a diagnostic device, not a chemical treatment, and should not be represented as certifying all aviation fuel quality properties.

Testing procedure
Collect an appropriate representative sample following the manufacturer’s current instructions and relevant aviation fuel procedures. Extract the sample using the kit components, apply the required drops to the test plate, observe the prescribed development interval and interpret the result. The optional FUELSTAT Result app can support confirmation and digital reporting. Readings outside the specified time window may be invalid.
Sample integrity matters: water-phase versus fuel-phase sampling can affect interpretation. Operators should follow controlled procedures, retain sample records and refer to appropriate technical or laboratory services where required. FUELSTAT results do not replace normal aviation fuel acceptance, storage or handling controls.
Limitations and follow-up
The test does not measure every microorganism, water concentration, particulate contamination, chemical stability or other fuel parameters. A negative result does not certify that jet fuel is fit for use. Any corrective treatment or operational decision for aviation fuel must comply with the applicable operator, OEM and industry requirements.
Choosing a FUELSTAT test
FUELSTAT One provides app-assisted quantitative results in about 20–30 minutes; FUELSTAT Plus is an approximately 15-minute semi-quantitative test. Diesel and aviation versions have distinct manufacturer part numbers and should be ordered correctly. Compare FUELSTAT versions and pack sizes.

Does this kit treat contamination?
No. It is a diagnostic test, not a fuel additive, biocide or filtration system.
Does a test require a laboratory?
Not for this rapid on-site screening method. Laboratory work may still be required for root-cause analysis or compliance.
Can I substitute the diesel kit?
Use the aviation-labelled SKU for aviation fuel applications unless Conidia confirms otherwise.
Can I test petrol?
Petrol compatibility is not claimed for this product.
